探测 12.4-keV 固态 $^{45}$Sc 同位素共振的 linewidth

摘要

45^{45}Sc 核过渡从基态到能量为 12.389~keV 的同位素态,其寿命为 0.46~s,表现出额外窄的自然宽度为 1.4~feV,信质因子 1019\simeq 10^{19} ——超过最精确原子钟的信质因子,使 45^{45}Sc 成为先进计量学和核时钟的有力平台。本文中,我们研究固态 45^{45}Sc 共振的谱宽和信质因子能接近这些自然极限的程度。利用欧洲 X 射线自由电子激光器,我们通过时间延迟的非一致性 Kα,βK_{\alpha,\beta} 荧光确认同位素的寿命,并观察到此前未报告的弹性荧光,给出部分内部转换系数为 390(60)。未检测到 2-ms 延迟后清晰的核前向散射信号,暗示在实验条件下环境宽度至少为 500 Γ0500~\Gamma_{0},为固态核时钟开发设定了新的实验基准。
