层状反铁磁体EuCd2As2中压力诱导的理想外尔半金属态

摘要
层状反铁磁体EuCd2As2中源于磁性与拓扑性相互作用的丰富非平凡拓扑相已引起广泛关注,尤其是中等外磁场驱动的自旋极化铁磁(FM)结构中实现的理想外尔半金属态。本工作中,结合高压磁输运测量、结构表征与第一性原理计算,我们发现施加压力亦可通过驱动面内反铁磁态历经中间面内FM态进而进入面外FM态,从而在EuCd2As2中实现理想外尔态。我们的高压角散X射线衍射与X射线吸收近边谱测量排除了结构转变和/或Eu2+价态变化作为磁相变来源的可能。相反,明显减小的轴比(c/a)与压缩的Eu层间距应起重要作用。我们的结果为在EuCd2As2中实现理想外尔半金属态提供了替代途径,并对利用高压探索此类具有强竞争磁交换的层状磁性拓扑相中的奇异拓扑性质具有指导意义。
