GRB 011211 极化观测

摘要
我们报告并讨论了在 GRB 011211 爆发发生约35小时后的尾尘采用 VLT-UT3 (Melipal) 进行的极化观测。观测结果给出了3个σ上限 P<2.7%。我们结合光度曲线的演化进行讨论，其中可能在我们观测时间出现约断点。我们指出，此上限与当前被接受的喷射几何结构相符，尤其是当视线未太接近喷射锥的边缘时。
