摘要
我们展示了即将安装在 LHC 上 CMS 实验极前向区域的 CASTOR 石英 - 钨采样量能器第二原型的性能结果。利用 2004 年在 CERN/SPS 进行的束流测试，使用 E=20-200 GeV 的电子、E=20-350 GeV 的π介子和 E=50,150 GeV 的μ介子，研究了该原型对电磁簇射和强子簇射的能量线性度、能量分辨率以及空间分辨率。比较了使用两种不同类型光电探测器（雪崩光电二极管 APDs 和光电倍增管 PMTs）的量能器响应。
