LHCb 实验中缪子鉴别的性能

摘要
我们利用 、 和 衰变中产生的缪子和强子数据,提取了 LHCb 实验中缪子鉴别的性能。缪子鉴别程序基于缪子室中的击中模式。采用一种依赖于动量的二元要求,将强子被误判为缪子的概率降低至 1% 水平,同时保持缪子效率在 95-98% 范围内。作为进一步的优化,我们为缪子假设和非缪子假设构建了似然函数。通过增加对该似然函数的要求,使总缪子效率达到 93% 水平,此时强子的误判率低于 0.6%。
