摘要

本文描述了为 PROSPECT(精密反应堆振荡与能谱)实验设计并运行的一个 50 升、双分段 ^6Li 负载液体闪烁体探测器的设计与性能,其作为该实验的原型。该双分段探测器依据实验设计规格建造。它具有低质量光学隔离器、集成源与光学校准系统,以及兼容 PROSPECT 所开发 ^6Li 掺杂闪烁体的材料。我们展示了 850±20 PE/MeV 的高光收集量、1 MeV 处 σ = 4.0±0.2% 的能量分辨率,以及对低 dE/dx(电子反冲)与高 dE/dx(核反冲)能量沉积的高效脉冲形状甄别。在各分段中测得有效闪烁衰减长度为 85±3 cm。闪烁体中 0.1% 质量浓度的 ^6Li 导致测得中子俘获时间 τ = 42.8±0.2 μs。文中还讨论了闪烁体的长期稳定性。该探测器响应满足实现 PROSPECT 物理目标所需标准,并展现出可应用于快中子探测的特性。
