利用紧凑型 LumiCal 原型在电子束测试中的性能与莫里哀半径测量

摘要
本文提出了一种亚毫米厚度的电磁采样量能器探测平面的新设计。该设计拟用于未来直线 对撞机实验中的亮度计 LumiCal 和 BeamCal。探测平面采用新型互连方案技术制作,并安装于量能器的紧凑型原型中,在 DESY 利用能量为 1-5 GeV 的电子束进行了测试。研究了由八个探测平面组成的紧凑型 LumiCal 原型的性能。测得 5 GeV 下的有效莫里哀半径 (Molière radius) 为 (8.1 ± 0.1 (统计) ± 0.3 (系统)) mm,该值与蒙特卡洛 (MC) 模拟的 (8.4 ± 0.1) mm 吻合良好。还研究了 1-5 GeV 能量范围内有效莫里哀半径对电子能量的依赖关系。数据与 MC 模拟之间取得了良好一致。
