摘要
通过研究 15 个邻近 S0 星系沿半径的恒星族群性质，我发现外恒星盘大多是年老的，其 SSP 等效年龄为 8-15 Gyr，通常比星系核球还要老。这一事实对目前公认的一种范式提出了质疑，该范式认为 S0 星系是在 时通过淬灭旋涡星系中的恒星形成而产生的。
