摘要
广泛的理论文献预测,X射线极化测量可以直接确定天文源的相关物理与几何参数,进一步区分模型,超越仅凭光谱和 timing 数据所允许的范围。X射线极化测量还能提供基础物理的检验。位于新一代 X 射线望远镜焦平面上的高灵敏度极化计可以开启高能天空中的这一新窗口。
