本文关注电磁材料中的自诱导电荷电流及其相关效应。简要讨论了超材料介质的自诱导电荷电流对光子有效静质量的贡献。我们主要集中于由稀薄等离子体中自诱导电荷电流与星际磁场相互作用所引起的、作用于扭秤实验扭秤上的力矩。我们的估算表明,次级宇宙线中的μ子与α粒子将贡献约 10^{-54} Kg 的光子有效静质量,这与罗氏旋转扭秤实验新近得到的光子静质量上限相比较。
