摘要
过去十年中，内存与存储技术取得了巨大发展，从闪存（Flash Memory）开始，并延续到即将到来的存储级内存（Storage-Class Memories）。结合数据处理、数据分析和机器学习的爆发式增长，这导致了内存与存储市场的细分。因此，我们今天所熟知的传统存储层次结构，可能会被多种存储层次结构所取代，这些结构可能具有不同深度，各自针对特定工作负载量身定制。在此背景下，我们在本篇“Kurz Erklärt”中探讨内存技术的现状，并反思其在数据管理系统中的未来应用，重点关注数据管理系统。
