摘要
我们证明，在以对换表示时，{1, ..., n} 的给定置换的任意两个既约表达式之间的组合距离属于 O(n^4)，这是一个精确界。利用与 van Kampen 图中某些曲线相交数的联系，我们证明该界是精确的，并给出了一个实用准则，用于证明由 [Dehornoy, JPAA 116 (1997) 115-197] 的逆向算法所提供的推导是最优的。我们还证明了存在长度为 l 的表达式，其逆向需要 C l^4 个基本步骤。
