已知稀有密码子簇的存在会负面影响蛋白质生产的效率和准确性。本文展示了一种在基因编码序列中识别此类簇的统计方法。以大肠杆菌为模式生物，我们表明具有更密集簇的基因往往具有更低的蛋白质产量。
