TOROS 合作组对引力波源首个电磁对应体的观测

摘要
我们展示了南方暂现源光学机器人天文台合作组 (TOROS) 对引力波事件 GW170817 电磁对应体进行快速光学后续观测的结果。在触发后约 35 小时,我们利用 T80-South 望远镜在仅 80 分钟的观测中,探测到对应体光曲线中高度显著的变暗( mag, mag, mag)。在事件发生后约 59 小时,利用 EABA 1.5m 望远镜进行的第二阶段观测证实了该暂现源快速衰减的特性。观测到的对应体颜色表明,该事件是一个相对缺乏镧系元素的“蓝色千新星”。
