TOROS 对 Advanced LIGO-VIRGO O2 第二次观测活动的光学后随观测

摘要

我们展示了 TOROS 合作组在 Advanced LIGO-Virgo 第二次观测运行期间(2016年11月–2017年8月)对引力波事件开展的光学后随观测结果。鉴于我们的观测仪器视场有限(100\arcmin\sim100\arcmin),我们以高定位概率区域内、且可从我们台站观测到的星系为观测目标。我们使用差值成像分析观测数据,随后采用随机森林(Random Forest)算法区分真实与虚假暂现源。在我们响应的全部三个事件中,除 GW170817 外,我们未发现任何与所观测引力波事件 plausibly 相关的真实光学暂现源。我们的观测使用位于 Estación Astrofísica de Bosque Alegre、Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory 以及 Dr. Cristina V. Torres Memorial Astronomical Observatory 的望远镜进行。我们的结果与 LIGO-Virgo 探测到的双黑洞并合(GW170104,预期无电磁对应体)以及双中子星并合(GW170817,如预期发现光学暂现源)一致。
