NIKA 2:IRAM 30米望远镜上的下一代连续谱/偏振相机及其原型

摘要

NIKA 2(New Instrument of Kids Array)是一种下一代连续谱与偏振仪器,于2015年10月成功安装在位于西班牙格拉纳达Pico-Veleta的IRAM 30米望远镜上。NIKA 2是一台高分辨率双波段相机,采用频率复用的LEKIDs(集总元件动力学电感探测器)在100 mK冷却下工作。由于同时读出2 mm处1020像素阵列与1.15 mm处1140 x 2像素阵列,获得了双色图像,最终分辨率分别为18和12角秒,视场(FoV)为6.5角分。1.15 mm处的两个阵列使我们能够测量入射光的线偏振。这将使NIKA 2成为研究磁场在恒星形成过程中作用的首选仪器。NIKA实验作为NIKA 2的原型,探测器数量(约400个LEKIDs)和视场(1.8角分)减少,已在IRAM 30望远镜的多次开放观测活动中成功运行。NIKA 2偏振装置的性能已通过NIKA原型成功验证。
