浅深度宇宙射线缪子产生中子

摘要
测量了宇宙射线缪子在 32 米水当量的浅深度处产生中子的产额。Palo Verde 中微子探测器,包含 11.3 吨掺钆液体闪烁体和 3.5 吨丙烯酸,用作靶。确定了单中子和双中子俘获的速率。对中子俘获效率进行建模,使我们能够推导出中子的总产额 个中子每缪子每 g/cm。该产额与先前在类似深度进行的测量结果一致。
