我们报告了利用 VLA 和 MERLIN 对 NGC2146 中心处的 1.4 GHz HI 吸收线观测结果。HI 吸收呈现出规则的空间分布和规则的速度分布，未显示出任何异常特征，表明该区域并未发生与另一星系的遭遇或远期的星系混合。
