NGC 4151核区亚秒尺度HI

摘要
我们报告了对NGC 4151射电喷流和核区HI吸收的灵敏、高分辨率21-cm VLBA+VLA观测。25毫弧秒(1.6 pc)分辨率的连续光谱图像揭示了高度准直的射电喷流,位于此前MERLIN和VLA所见的离散成分之下。检测到对整个3 pc范围内的连续光成分的空间和动力学复杂的HI吸收,后者根据Ulvestad等人预测的包含AGN的成分相符。相反,我们建议该吸收成分位于东侧反喷流的组成部分,将其排除作为AGN位置的候选。
