脉冲星计时阵列的多信使引力波搜寻:基于 NANOGrav 11 年数据集对 3C66B 的应用

当星系并合时,其中心的超大质量黑洞可能形成双星,并在并合过程中发射低频引力辐射。本文我们考虑星系 3C66B,它曾被用作首次引力波多信使搜寻的目标。由于该源的光度与天体测量数据中观测到的周期性,理论上认为其含有一个超大质量黑洞双星。其表观 1.05 年轨道周期将使引力波发射直接落入脉冲星计时波段。自首次对 3C66B 的脉冲星计时阵列研究以来,该源的修正模型已发表,且计时阵列的灵敏度与技术已大幅改进。借助这些进展,我们利用 NANOGrav 11 年数据集,将该源中潜在的超大质量黑洞双星啁啾质量限制为小于 。该上限较先前限制提升 1.6 倍,较首次搜寻提升 4.3 倍。尽管如此,该源最新的轨道模型仍与我们的脉冲星计时阵列数据限制一致。此外,我们能够量化由电磁数据获取的源性质纳入“盲”脉冲星计时阵列搜寻所带来的改进。通过这些方法,显然无需获得双星周期的精确先验知识即可获得有意义的天体物理推断。
