利用 IceCube 中多 TeV 中微子相互作用的非弹性度分布进行测量

摘要

非弹性度——中微子能量转移给强子的比例——是在 IceCube 中研究多 TeV 能段天体物理与大气层中微子相互作用时令人关注的一个量。本工作中,从 5 年数据中获得 IceCube 中一组含内中微子相互作用样本,并分类为 2650 个径迹和 965 个级联。径迹主要来源于带电流 νμ\nu_{\mu} 相互作用,我们证明可以重建其能量与非弹性度。发现非弹性度分布在约 1 TeV 到约 100 TeV 的能段内与 Cooper-Sarkar 等人的计算一致。连同所有味的中微子级联,我们还对能量、天顶角和非弹性度分布进行了拟合,以刻画天体物理与大气层中微子的通量。弥漫天体物理中微子的能谱在径迹与级联样本中均可由幂律很好地描述,并在 3.5 TeV 到 2.6 PeV 能段内得到最佳拟合指数 γ=2.62±0.07\gamma=2.62\pm0.07。对天体物理味组成的限制与 (13:13:13)\left(\frac{1}{3}:\frac{1}{3}:\frac{1}{3}\right)_{\oplus} 的比例相容。利用 νμ\nu_{\mu}νˉμ\bar{\nu}_{\mu} 相互作用截然不同的非弹性度分布,发现 770 GeV 到 21 TeV 能段内大气 νμ\nu_{\mu}νˉμ\bar{\nu}_{\mu} 通量比为 Honda 等人计算的 0.770.25+0.440.77^{+0.44}_{-0.25} 倍。最后,非弹性度分布也对中微子带电流粲产生敏感。数据与领头阶计算一致,在 91%91\% 置信水平下排除零粲产生。未来对非弹性度分布的分析或可探测影响标准模型内及之外中微子相互作用的新物理。
