利用宇宙射线缪子测量 MicroBooNE LArTPC 中的空间电荷效应

大型液氩时间投影室(LArTPC),尤其是那些在近地表运行的,易受空间电荷效应影响。在 LArTPC 的背景下,空间电荷效应主要是由于宇宙射线电离导致探测器中慢速正离子的积累,从而引起探测器内电场的畸变。该效应导致 LArTPC 探测器中信号电离电子重建位置的位移(“空间畸变”),以及 TPC 体积内各处电离所经历的电子-离子复合量的变化。我们提出了可用于利用宇宙缪子测量并校正大型 LArTPC 中空间电荷效应的技术,包括使用径迹对来明确确定三维空间畸变。这些校准技术的性能通过使用蒙特卡洛模拟和 MicroBooNE 数据进行了研究,并利用紫外激光系统作为估计校准方法学相关系统偏差的手段。
