$^{16}$Be 的质量、谱学与双中子衰变

摘要

通过高能 17^{17}B 束流的质子敲出反应,研究了最丰中子铍同位素 16^{16}Be 的结构与衰变。首次观测到两个相对较窄的共振,其能量分别位于双中子衰变阈值以上 0.84(3)0.84(3)2.15(5)2.15(5) MeV,宽度分别为 0.32(8)0.32(8)0.95(15)0.95(15) MeV。这两个共振被指认为基态(Jπ=0+J^{\pi}=0^+)和第一激发态(2+2^+),激发能 Ex=1.31(6)E_x=1.31(6) MeV。由此推得 16^{16}Be 的质量过剩为 56.93(13)56.93(13) MeV,比之前唯一的测量结果束缚得更深约 0.50.5 MeV。观察到两个态都通过直接双中子发射衰变。将衰变过程中波函数演化视为真实三体过程的计算,重现了两个能级中子-中子能谱的主要特征,表明基态表现出强烈的空间紧凑双中子组分,而 2+2^+ 能级则呈现出更为弥散的中子-中子分布。
