本文报道了高Tc铁基超导化学计量化合物LiFeAs的合成与性质。单晶X射线研究表明，它结晶为四方PbFCl型结构(P4/nmm)，晶格参数a=3.7914(7) Å，c=6.364(2) Å。与已知的等电子未掺杂本征FeAs化合物不同，LiFeAs不显示任何自旋密度波行为，而是在常压下无需化学掺杂即表现出超导电性。它展现出可观的转变温度Tc=18 K，具有类电子载流子和非常高的临界场Hc2(0)>80 T。LiFeAs似乎是高温超导铜氧化物无限层化合物的化学等价物。
