KOI-126: 包含两颗低质量恒星的三合星系统

摘要

开普勒空间望远镜在其探测凌星系外行星的首要任务中,持续监测着 150,000 颗恒星的光变。在此我们报告在开普勒测光数据中探测到一个食双星组成的层级三合星系统。KOI-126 (A,(B, C)) 由一个低质量双星(质量 M_B = 0.2413+/-0.0030 M_Sun, M_C = 0.2127+/-0.0026 M_Sun;半径 R_B = 0.2543+/-0.0014 R_Sun, R_C = 0.2318+/-0.0013 R_Sun;轨道周期 P_1 = 1.76713+/-0.00019 天)在偏心轨道上绕第三颗恒星(质量 M_A = 1.347+/-0.032 M_Sun;半径 R_A = 2.0254+/-0.0098 R_Sun;绕低质量双星的轨道周期 P_2 = 33.9214+/-0.0013 天;该轨道偏心率 e_2 = 0.3043+/-0.0024)运行组成。这对低质量恒星探测了样本稀少的全对流恒星区域,为理论恒星模型提供了关键基准。
