K2-137 b:一颗围绕M型矮星以4.3小时轨道运行的地球大小行星

摘要
我们报告了从K2任务发现的一颗环绕M3型矮星、处于超短周期轨道的凌星类地行星。K2-137 b仅用4.3小时完成一次轨道运行,是任何已知行星中第二短的轨道周期,仅比同样环绕一颗M型矮星运行的KOI 1843.03长4分钟。利用档案图像、自适应光学(AO)成像、视向速度(RV)测量和光变曲线建模的组合,我们表明没有任何合理的食双星情形能够解释K2光变曲线,从而确认了该系统的行星性质。该行星的半径我们确定为0.89 ± 0.09地球半径,且其铁质量分数必须大于0.45,它环绕一颗质量为0.463 ± 0.052 Msol、半径为0.442 ± 0.044 Rsol的恒星运行。
