我们开发了多种算法，利用了图形模型中界定最大后验解释 (MPE) 查询的两种常用方法：小桶消元法和用于线性规划松弛的消息传递更新。这两种方法非常相似，并为彼此提供了有用的视角；我们的混合方法试图平衡两者的优势。我们通过广泛的实证评估展示了混合算法的强大能力。最值得注意的是，由我们新算法之一计算的启发式函数所引导的分支定界搜索，最近在 PASCAL2 推理挑战赛中获得了第一名。
