最近的Hipparcos结果支持了星系 halo 中场域和星团中RR Lyrae变量在亮度上存在约0.2 mag差异的假设。本文作为一篇简报，研究了利用对Hipparcos星距平衡序列拟合得到的星团距离，对场域RR Lyrae变量的脉动特性进行分析，并与使用Hipparcos数据进展分析的场域变量进行比较。我们展示了场域和星团变量的周期-温度分布基本不可区分，从而暗示它们之间不存在显著的亮度差异。
