研究氢再电离纪元阵列中的互耦效应及其对21厘米功率谱的缓解

旨在探测中性氢高度红移的21厘米信号的干涉实验正在对21厘米功率谱产生越来越严格的约束,但一些k模仍然受系统误差主导。互耦是探测21厘米信号必须克服的一个主要系统误差,能够再现数据中效应的模拟可以指导缓解互耦的策略。在本文中,我们分析了来自氢再电离纪元阵列的12个夜晚的数据,并将数据与包含计算高效且物理动机明确的半解析互耦处理的模拟进行了比较。我们发现模拟的耦合特征在定性上与数据中的耦合特征一致;然而,数据中的耦合特征比模拟特征更亮,表明存在我们模型未捕捉到的额外耦合机制。我们探索了使用条纹率滤波器作为互耦缓解工具,并利用我们的模拟,在前景特别明亮的“最坏情况”场景下,研究了互耦对模拟的宇宙学21厘米功率谱的影响。我们发现互耦污染了“再电离窗口”的很大一部分,并且在一个广泛的宇宙学傅里叶模范围内,污染比我们模拟的宇宙信号大几个数量级。虽然我们的基准条纹率滤波策略将互耦在功率上降低了大约100倍,但仍有不可忽略的耦合量无法用条纹率滤波器去除,因此需要更复杂的缓解策略。
