利用氡气源对PandaX-II探测器的内部校准

摘要
我们为PandaX-II探测器开发了一种利用Rn的低能电子反冲(ER)校准方法。源自天然钍化合物的Rn通过氙纯化系统送入探测器。2017至2019年,我们使用不同氡源开展了三次专门校准活动。我们研究了探测器对、和粒子的响应,重点关注低能ER事件。在2017和2018年运行期间,Rn的放射性活度约为Rn的1%,且钍颗粒污染可忽略,尤其在2018年。借助Rn注入,我们还首次在PandaX-II中测量了Pb的本底贡献。利用Rn和Rn的校准策略将在即将开展的PandaX-4T实验中实施,也可用于其他基于氙的探测器。
