利用电荷灵敏放大器电路改善X射线天文SOI像素探测器的能谱性能

摘要

我们一直基于绝缘体上硅(SOI)像素技术为未来的X射线天文卫星开发名为“XRPIX”的单片有源像素传感器系列。XRPIX系列提供高符合时间分辨率(~1 μs)、优越的读出时间(~10 μs)和宽能量范围(0.5–40 keV)。在先前的研究中,我们通过XRPIX2b的事件驱动读出成功演示了X射线探测。我们在此报告能谱性能的最新改进。我们通过减小源于埋入式p阱(BPW)的灵敏节点寄生电容,成功增加了XRPIX2b的增益并降低了读出噪声。另一方面,我们发现当采用小BPW时,由于电荷收集效率的损失,能谱响应中出现显著的拖尾结构。因此,我们通过引入像素内电荷灵敏放大器而非使用更小的BPW,提高了XRPIX3b的增益。我们最终实现了35 e⁻ (rms)的读出噪声和6 keV处320 eV (FWHM)的能量分辨率,且无显著的电荷收集效率损失。
