KM3NeT实时核心坍缩超新星中微子搜寻的实现与初步结果

摘要

KM3NeT研究基础设施正在地中海建设。KM3NeT将通过两个多用途中微子探测器ARCA和ORCA研究大气与天体物理中微子,主要针对GeV–PeV中微子。得益于数字光学模块的多光电倍增管设计,KM3NeT能够探测来自银河系或近银河系核心坍缩超新星的中微子爆发。这一潜力在首批部署于海中的探测单元上已可利用。本文描述了自2019年初以来在两个KM3NeT探测器上运行的超新星中微子搜寻的实时实现。引入了一种准在线天文分析,用于研究所探测中微子的时间分布轮廓(针对特别显著的事件)。文中描述了警报生成与分发机制,以及其与SNEWS和SNEWS 2.0全球警报系统的集成。定义了针对外部警报在存档数据中搜寻中微子超出信号的跟进方法。最后,给出了当前探测器能力的概览以及前两年运行的报告。
