连续原子层中自旋定向转变的成像

摘要
通过自旋极化低能电子显微镜 (SPLEEM) 我们展示了单层至三层厚的钴薄膜在钨晶体上的磁易轴方向在沉积过程中发生两次转变:单层和三层厚薄膜的磁化方向为平面内,而两层厚薄膜的磁化方向为平面外,且其 Curie 温度远高于室温。基于筛选 Korringa-Kohn-Rostoker (SKKR) 方法的完全相对论计算表明,仅针对两层厚的钴薄膜,应变、表面和界面效应的相互作用才导致垂直磁化。
