相互作用星系中年轻星团的哈勃空间望远镜观测

摘要
我们展示了利用哈勃空间望远镜(HST)对几对相互作用星系进行成像观测的初步结果。我们特别选取了两个案例，分别代表强早期(年轻)交会(Arp 81 = NGC 6621/6622)和弱晚期(年老)交会(Arp 297 = NGC 5752/5754)。该项目的目标包括确定在这两种潮汐交会的极限情况下形成的年轻星团的时间、频率、强度及特征。
