重夸克 parton 分布函数及其不确定性

摘要
我们研究了在可变味量方案下重夸克 parton 分布函数的不确定性。由于charm-和bottom-quark parton 分布函数主要由gluon PDF 构成，故常规做法是假设重夸克与gluon 不确定性相同。我们指出，这一近似是合理的初步估计，但对于bottom 夸克优于charm 夸克。我们采用 Hessian 矩阵方法计算 PDF 不确定性，并预测在Tevatron run II 时的t通道单顶夸克生产交叉截面为 pb。
