对于两体相互作用为长程且强的一维模型，系统几乎结晶。这种晶格的谐波模式可用于计算基态波函数和动态密度-密度关联。我们使用此方法计算Calogero-Sutherland模型中的密度关联。我们数值上表明，即使耦合不是很大，所获得的关联也是相当准确的。我们的方法比用于推导精确结果的方法简单得多，并产生易于绘制的关联表达式。我们的等时关联可以按逆耦合的幂次展开；我们证明前两阶项与已知的整数耦合值的精确结果一致。
