摘要
用于区分发光物体与反光物体的神经机制在很大程度上尚不清楚。有人提出，亮度感知在视觉系统中实现了一条独立的通路，使得亮度构成一种独立的感知特征。最近进行了一项心理物理学研究，以探讨亮度是否具有特征状态。然而，该研究的结果支持了另一种假设，即亮度梯度才是一种感知特征。在此，我展示了亮度感知如何从先前提出的用于生成亮度梯度表征的神经架构中涌现出来。
