全球公共卫生监测依赖于报告结构和可信健康报告的传输。但在实践中，这些过程可能并不总是足够快，或受到程序、技术或政治障碍的阻碍。全球公共卫生情报网络（GPHIN）设计于 1990 年代末，用于搜罗主流新闻中的卫生事件，因为新闻传播更快且更自由。本文概述了 2017 年上线的下一代 GPHIN，并报告了支撑其新功能与创新的设计决策。
