摘要

为了提高超高能宇宙射线探测的分辨率,需要实现一种具有快速响应和宽探测范围的新型玻璃基探测器。这种探测器已为天山高海拔科学站的 Horizon-T 探测器系统设计和建造。本文讨论了其主要特性,如设计、探测器脉冲持续时间以及单粒子响应的校准。

Simulation is used to assess glass detector performance. Simulation is validated first when compared to scintillator detector experimental measurements. Final results summarized in table. Updated May 2017 with calibrations update
