GeoDEN:分析登革热血型地理扩散的可视化探索工具

摘要

静态地图和动画在登革热空间流行病学中仍然流行,限制了可视化的分析深度和范围。全球人口超过半数生活在登革热流行区。理解四种密切相关登革热血型的时空动力学及其免疫相互作用 remains a challenge at a global scale. 为促进这一理解,我们在用户中心设计框架下与登革热流行病学家合作,创建GeoDEN,一种探索性可视化工具,使专家能够检视登革热血型报告中的时空模式。该工具包含多种关联可视化和过滤机制,enable analysis at a range of spatial and temporal scales. 为识别成功与失败,we present both insight-based and value-driven evaluations. Our domain experts found GeoDEN valuable, verifying existing hypotheses and uncovering novel insights that warrant further investigation by the epidemiology community. The developed visual exploration approach can be adapted for exploring other epidemiology and disease incident datasets.
