研究了抛物面镜对量子场真空模式的聚焦。我们使用几何光学近似来计算焦点附近标量场与电磁场的能量密度和场平方平均值。我们发现这些量随到焦点距离的负整数幂增长。存在一种吸引性的 Casimir-Polder 力作用于原子，会将其拉入焦点。对该聚焦效应量级的一些估计表明其可能是可观测的。
