手征动力学在 $\pi^- \gamma \to \pi^- \pi^- \pi^+$ 反应中的首次测量

欧洲核子研究中心(CERN)的 COMPASS 合作组研究了嵌入在 190 GeV pion 入射铅靶的 Primakoff 反应中的、质心能量低于五倍 pion 质量(s<5m(π)\sqrt{s} < 5 m(\pi))的 πγπππ+\pi^- \gamma \to \pi^- \pi^- \pi^+ 反应。通过分离在最小动量转移 t<0.001t' < 0.001 (GeV/c)2^2 处观测到的尖锐库仑峰,筛选出准实光子交换。利用分波分析技术,提取了以手征动力学描述的库仑产生散射强度及其对 3π3\pi 不变质量 m(3π)=sm(3\pi) = \sqrt{s} 的依赖关系。在 s\sqrt{s} 的七个区间内确定了绝对截面,总体精度为 20%。结果发现,在领头阶下,整个研究能量范围内与手征微扰论的预言符合良好。
