甚高能耀变体 MAGIC J2001+439 的首次宽带表征与红移测定

我们的目标是表征 2FGL J2001.1+4352 的宽带辐射,该源与未知红移的耀变体 MG4 J200112+4352 相关联。基于其伽马射线光谱特性,它被确定为潜在的甚高能 (VHE; E>100E > 100 GeV) 伽马射线发射体。该源首先于 2009 年被 MAGIC 观测,随后在 2010 年作为多仪器观测活动的一部分再次被观测。MAGIC 观测获得了 14.8 小时的高质量立体数据。在 2010 年和 2011 年期间,对该天体进行了射电、光学和伽马射线能段的监测。该源命名为 MAGIC J2001+439,在 2010 年 7 月 16 日长达 1.3 小时的观测中,首次被 MAGIC 在 VHE 能段探测到,统计显著性为 6.3 σ\sigma (E>70E > 70 GeV)。多仪器观测显示所有能段均存在变异性,其中 X 射线和 VHE 能段的变异性幅度最高。我们还于 2013 年利用北欧光学望远镜组织了深度光学成像观测,以确定该源的红移。我们通过在耀变体低活动期测量其宿主星系,首次确定了该 BL Lac 天体的红移。利用 BL Lac 宿主星系光度局限于相对狭窄范围的观测证据,我们得到 z=0.18±0.04z = 0.18 \pm 0.04。此外,我们利用 Fermi-LAT 和 MAGIC 的伽马射线光谱提供了独立的红移估计,z=0.17±0.10z = 0.17 \pm 0.10。使用前一个(更准确的)红移值,我们用一个单区 SSC 模型充分描述了不同活动状态下的宽带辐射,并将几天时间尺度的变异性解释为由电子能量分布的高能分量变化所致。
