通过关注从单个监测点以高频率向固定目标集运行类似traceroute的测量所能观察到的现象，我们展示了所观察到的拓扑视图以远高于预期的速度不断演化。重复测量在长时间段内（长达数月）以恒定速率发现新的IP地址。为了提供解释，我们在IP层和自治系统层研究了这一现象。我们表明，IP地址的这种更新部分是由BGP路由动态引起的，它改变了现有AS之间的路径。此外，我们推测AS内部路由动态是这一现象的另一个原因。
