球状星团在从恒星物理到宇宙学的众多天体物理领域中发挥着作用。具备前所未有的近红外能力的地基新型光学巡天与天基望远镜观测互补,将助力我们破解其形成历史的谜题。在此背景下,欧几里得(Euclid)空间任务的宽视场巡天将在约 15000 平方度的天区提供红波段与近红外数据。结合地基光学测光,它将使我们能够构建致密与稀薄环境中直至数十兆秒差距的球状星团族的整体图景。这些数据集的均匀测光将重振依赖精确光谱能量分布的恒星族研究。我们简要概述了这些前景。
