星族的光度熵及相关诊断工具

摘要
我们从统计学的角度讨论了在完全或部分未分辨的星团（如球状星团和遥远星系）中研究星族的一些主要问题。在这方面，对恒星贡献者的有效数量和光度的可靠评估，可以提供一个非常有用的解释工具，以正确评估由拥挤条件或表面亮度涨落带来的观测偏差。这些论点促使我们引入了星族“光度熵”的新概念，并在此回顾了其对星团诊断不同天体物理学方面的影响。
