利用NIKA2相机在毫米波长下探测NGC 891的星际介质

在IMEGIN大型计划框架下,我们使用IRAM 30米望远镜上的NIKA2相机在1.15 mm和2 mm波长、分别对应于11.1"和17.6"的FWHM下观测了侧向星系NGC 891。结合新NIKA2观测并经由HerBIE SED代码(耦合THEMIS尘埃模型)拟合的多波长数据被用于约束星际介质的物理性质。来自弥漫尘埃盘的发射在所有从中红外到毫米波的波长上均被探测到,而中红外观测揭示了来自致密HII区的暖尘发射。在星系盘外缘也发现了毫米波超量发射的迹象。此外,我们的SED拟合分析约束了小(< 15 Angstrom)尘埃颗粒的质量分数。我们发现小颗粒占星系平面内总尘埃质量的9.5%,但该比例在距星系平面较大距离(|z| > 3 kpc)处增至约20%。
