绘制边缘星系中 1.2 毫米波长的冷尘埃分布

摘要
利用 IRAM 30 米望远镜，我们对 NGC 891、NGC 5907 和 NGC 4565 的 1.2 毫米continuum 辐射进行了绘制。特别是后者这颗星系显示出与 HI 相关的弱、扩展的平台结构，除去所有这些螺旋星系常见的中心峰和环形结构。此外，NGC 4565 这种尘埃辐射的外部分别明显扭曲。其外部分的平均尘埃温度为 15 K，推导出的尘埃吸收横截面与局部稀疏云预测值非常接近。
