通过对所谓的单胶子和双胶子胶团格林函数进行直接解析路径积分求值，获得了非微扰-非禁闭和禁闭随机背景杨-米尔斯场的关联长度。数值上，这些长度与早期对这些格林函数的哈密顿处理所得结果吻合良好。研究还表明，非微扰-非禁闭场的关联函数随着该关联函数中的路径偏离直线路径而减小。
