利用 FAIR 的\={P}ANDA 实验探测跃迁分布振幅

摘要

重子到介子的跃迁分布振幅(TDAs)编码了关于强子结构的宝贵新信息,是多种硬独占反应共线因子化描述中的构建模块。在本文中,我们探讨了利用 FAIR 设施未来的\={P}ANDA 探测器,通过 pˉpe+eπ0\bar{p}p \to e^+e^- \pi^0 反应探测核子到介子(πN\pi N)TDAs 的可能性。在高质心能量和高轻子对不变质量平方 q2q^2 下,信号道 pˉpe+eπ0\bar{p}p \to e^+e^- \pi^0 的振幅在前向和后向运动学区域中,可用 πN\pi N TDAs 和核子分布振幅(DAs)进行 QCD 因子化描述。假设该因子化描述成立,我们对利用\={P}ANDA 探测器测量 pˉpe+eπ0\bar{p}p \to e^+e^- \pi^0 进行了可行性研究。针对质心能量平方 s=5s = 5 GeV2^2s=10s = 10 GeV2^2,分别在运动学区域 3.0<q2<4.33.0 < q^2 < 4.3 GeV2^25<q2<95 < q^2 < 9 GeV2^2 内,对信号重建效率以及最严重背景道(即 pˉpπ+ππ0\bar{p}p \to \pi^+\pi^- \pi^0)的抑制进行了详细模拟,其中中性π介子在质子 - 反质子质心系中散射于前向或后向锥 cosθπ0>0.5| \cos\theta_{\pi^0}| > 0.5 内。模拟结果表明,\={P}ANDA 探测器的粒子识别能力将实现在低(高)q2q^2 下背景抑制因子达到 51075\cdot 10^711071\cdot 10^7)(对应 s=5s=5 GeV2^2),以及在低(高)q2q^2 下达到 11081\cdot 10^861066\cdot 10^6)(对应 s=10s=10 GeV2^2),同时保持信号重建效率在 40% 左右。在两种能量下,利用对应于 2 fb1^{-1} 积分亮度的预期统计量,均可重建出干净的轻子信号。
